Requesting Posters to be Printed:

Once your poster is completed place a COPY of it in O: \Posters to Plot

Please send all requests for poster printing (this is for CSS faculty, staff, and graduate students) to the e-mail address: csspostersatoregonstate.edu. If you are using Outlook, you can type in cssposter and it will find it. It appears in the Outlook global address list as CSS Posters.

Please include the name of the file, the final print size of the poster, and your contact information in your email.

Please submit your poster well in advance of the due date. We cannot guarantee a one-day turnaround. Also, you many need to fix mistakes. Please plan to submit a minimum of 2 days in advance of the day needed. In addition, feel free to send an e-mail to cssposters to be sure someone will be available to plot your poster.

Quick Tips:

  • The plotter paper is on a roll that is 42 inches wide, so one dimension of your poster should be 42".
  • The plotter will not print all of the way to the edge of the paper, so be sure to leave a margin between the edge of your paper and where you want the poster content to begin. A one inch margin is recommended.
  • When saving your file embed the fonts you used with it.

Other Poster Printing Options

If you do need to go elsewhere, Communications Media Center (CMC) can plot posters on bond paper for ~$6.00/square foot. Contact CMC to determine the amount of lead time they need. Graduate students can plot a limited number of posters after receiving training (offered twice per week) at the Graduate Student Multimedia Presentation Center (Kidder Hall 30).

More details can be found in the documents linked above.

If you have specific questions please see Marcia Brett or Sara Griffith.
