"Interactions Between the Nitrogen Fixing Bacteria Frankia and Mycorrhizal Fungi on Two Casuarinaceae Plant Species"

Sire Diedhiou, OSU Crop and Soil Science Ph.D. Candidate

Active nitrogen fixation by trees occurs when water availability, P, Ca, and micronutrients supplies are sufficiently high; mycorrhizalfungi are well-known for the symbiosis they establish with plants, which increases water and P uptake by plants. This seminar is a study that focused onthe interactions between nitrogen fixing bacteria Frankiaand mycorrhizalfungi on nitrogen fixing trees.
