Requests by non-OSU groups for space use

Following a request from Facilities Service on Building Use Policy for Non-OSU groups, the following policy was developed.

Policy on Use of Crop and Soil Science Building Conference Rooms by Non-OSU Groups

The Department of Crop and Soil Science will allow not-for-profit, non-OSU groups free-of-charge use of conference rooms under Departmental control in the Crop Science or Ag Life Sciences Buildings provided the following conditions are met:

1. on-going use may be no more than 1 hour per week and must be during regular business hours; longer periods of one-time use are possible
2. use must not conflict with departmental space needs;
3. the group must be open to all people regardless of race; religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age, marital status disability, and disabled veteran or Vietnam-era veteran status;
4. the group must offer a service or have as one of its goal an activity that is related to the professional development of CSS faculty and staff or that furthers CSS departmental goals
5. the group must present their request for space use to the appropriate Building Use committee and obtain approval from the committee prior to space use
6. on-going space use will be evaluated annually by Building Committees and use allowance can be revoked
