CSS Manuscript Policy
September 2001
The department's manuscript review policy is intended to facilitate the publication of
high quality research, keep the faculty informed of the research being done in the
department, and ensure that faculty and administrators are aware of potential
controversial information before prior to its publication.
- In the case of manuscripts originating in theses, the committees review is
sufficient. A non-author review is strongly recommended for non-thesis manuscripts.
- At the time of submission to a peer-reviewed outlet, the corresponding author requests
an Agricultural Experiment Station Journal number from Agricultural Communications.
Contact Jeannie at 737-3311.
- The corresponding author enters this number on the "Green Sheet", writes a
"Statement of Benefits", and sends the following to the Dept. Head.
- A competed "Green Sheet"
- A statement of benefits
- A copy of the manuscript
- The corresponding author sends the manuscript to the journal.
- The Dept. Head or designee will review submitted publications and confer with authors
regarding any concerns
