Key Players
Amy J. Dreves, an agricultural Entomologist and IPM specialist at Oregon State University (Dept of Horticulture), is one of the principal investigators and the project coordinator of the MagNet program. She has been overseeing the cabbage maggot project management, on-farm research activities, development of educational and evaluation materials, and training of project staff and growers.

Shannon Heuberger was an OSU research assistant who participated in data collection and reporting in 2003. She assisted in grower workshops, newsletter development, and assisted with the MagNet website.

Rebeca Siplak, OSU Research Assistant in 2001 and 2002, devoted many hours as a faculty research assistant in data collection and educational activities. She closely monitored fields and helped to plan experiments and field days with growers

Dr. Tim Righetti, a plant nutrition and GIS specialist, provides expertise in GPS and GIS techniques and spatial analysis for the spatial management study. He is helping to develop a user-friendly map and record management database, and will ultimately train growers to use the model to aid in decision-making.

Bob McReynolds
and Gina Kostela, an Extension Vegetable Crops Agent, are cooperators in the trials at North Willamette Research and Extension Center (NWREC) in Aurora, Orgon. We have been exploring alternative chemistries, application trials, techniques and timing of treatment for control of cabbage maggots.
