CSS 438/HORT 438/AREC 438/ANS 438. Exploring World Agriculture

New England Trip

Itinerary:

September 11th depart PDX to Providence

September 12th visit Ocean Spray in the morning and drive into Boston in the afternoon. We could take a bus tour when we first arrive and then use the afternoon and the next morning to see specifc things like the Freedom Trail.

September 13th Boston in the morning and then drive to Portsmouth and into southern Maine. We hope to get a taste of the coast line. Possible sites to see include Strawberry Banke and the Salem Witch Trial Museum.

September 14th Drive from Maine across the southern parts of New Hampshire. A visit to the Budweiser Brewery in Merrimack NH is possible. Drive across southern Vermont and into Springfield, MA.

September 15th The Big E in West Springfield

September 16th Drive through Connecticut into New York City. The Mark Twain House is a possible site to see as is the Harriet Beecher Stowe House.

September 17th New York City (There are so many possibilities for the time in NYC so please give your input. I think a bus tour of Manhattan is a good start.)

September 18th Drive west through NJ and into PA

September 19th Lancaster PA

September 20 Philadelphia
