Points to Consider

CSS 599 Critical Reviews of Soil Processes

Theme: Evaporation from Soil
Moderator: Maria Dragila
Location: To be decided during first meeting, Friday 9-10 of the first week of classes.
Credit: 1

Expectations

There will be 7 class meetings. Students who register for credit are expected to attend every class meeting, to read the assigned manuscript and be ready to discuss it. Those not signed up for credit are welcome to drop in at any time.

One student (the “presenter”) will be selected each week to lead the discussion. The “presenter” will give a 5-minute technical overview of the paper.

To facilitate discussion (thus learning), each student in attendance will pose one comment or question to the group related to “technical merit” and one question or comment related to “presentation.” See Points to Consider describing these two categories.
