Central Analytical Laboratory (CAL)
Welcome to the Oregon State University Central Analytical Laboratory (CAL) Website
CAL is currently undergoing a re-vitalization. During this transition period we are routinely available to analyze plant and soil samples using the Elementar CN analyzer, Shimadzu TOC analyzer, and the Perkin Elmer ICP for P, K, S, Ca, Na, Mg, Mn, Fe, Al, and B. We can also test for pH, EC, texture, and moisture.
We are working to make this laboratory a central piece of the OSU soils educational program as well as a fully functional soil and plant analysis laboratory. Once we are operational we will be pursuing collaboration with OSU faculty, staff, extension, and experiment station scientists as well as the NRCS, SWCDs, and ODA. We welcome feedback on ways we can improve our services and we would love to talk to you if you have any ideas for collaboration or services that should be provided.
Please fill out the Analysis Request Form prior to bringing in your sample
