Dent Corn
Dent corn is the major feed grain in the United States.
Kernels are triangle-shaped, yellow in color (though some may be
white) and have a dent in the top. Other types of corn have
different kernel colors and shapes - flint, sweet, pop, and
floury. In addition to feed uses, corn has become a major food
crop in the United States. Corn is used to produce cereal
products, starches, sweeteners, and ethanol fuel. High fructose
corn syrup is the major sweetener in most types of soda.
