Hard Red Winter Wheat State Map

Hard red winter wheats dominated in Oregon in the late 1800s and early 1900s but were replaced by white wheats. Hard red winter wheats now account for less than 2 percent of Oregon acreage and are grown primarily in low rainfall areas.
