Austrian Winter Peas

Austrian Winter Peas

Austrian winter peas are a fall or spring seeded annual legume. Most are grown for hay or cover crops. The seed is round, 4 to 6 mm in diameter, with a wrinkled , green-gray mottled surface. The seed contains tannins which make it less palatable as an animal feed.
