Perennial Ryegrass

Perennial Ryegrass

Perennial ryegrass is a cool-seasoned, short-lived perennial bunchgrass. It has medium textured, dark green leaves and produces durable turfs. It is the second most common lawn grass after Kentucky blue. Perennial ryegrass is also used throughout the Southeastern United States in pasture mixes. It generally does not persist as long as tall fescues in pastures.
