What’s the Hoo Haa??

It’s spring! Come out and touch fertile ground. Reconnect with the good Earth that brings you the food you crave! Students, get out of the library and breathe some fresh air. All community members and children welcome. Plant seeds, turn ground, see a chicken tractor, enjoy good food donated from local businesses. Please leave dogs and alcohol at home. Bring your own bowl and spoon

Hoo Haa 2007: Ooohhs and Aaaahhs...

The OSU Organic Growers Club Earthday Hoo Haa '07 was the most successful to date.  Over 500 people showed up for this annual event that takes place ON EARTHDAY APRIL 22nd!!!  This was the clubs 5th Hoo Haa and it has grown from a small covered bridge concert (remember '03?) to a darn big event with lots of free food, live music, activities, and an amazing amount of planting - over 10,000 onions, hundreds of lettuce plants, thousands of beets seeds, and literally a ton of compost was spread by hand in about 3 hours!!!  The weather was perfect with sun, rain, soil, and fresh air - wow, just like...errr EARTH!

Thanks everyone who supported the Hoo Haa 07 - OSU ORGS members, ASOSU, Campus Recycling, OSU Earthweek peeps, Robnette's Hardware, College of Ag, Departments of Crops and Soil, Horticulture, Animal Science, and Forestry, Marketplace West, First Alt. Coop, Gathering Together Farm, the bands, the student clubs, the chicken tractor crew, and so many more people and organizations - you're just plain cool.

Next year - April 22nd, Earthday:  Bigger and better than ever!  Wanna get involved now?  Contact the OSU Organic Growers Club!!!  Thanks Corvallis and OSU for being such a cool place to live and work!

Hoo Haa Volunteers: You Rock!!!
