Thursday nights: During the growing season, work parties are held on Thursdays from 5pm until 7 or 8pm, or around dark. These usually start after daylight savings time in spring term and go through summer and into the fall. Come early, come late, stay a long or short time, but come on out! The farm is beautiful and it rarely rains on Thursdays!

Sunday mornings: From 9am to noon, smaller work parties are often organized for specific extra projects around the farm. Projects include farm cleanup, extra weeding, irrigation repair, or special sowing or harvesting. It is usually quiet and peaceful at the farm in the morning.

The Farm: The core of the Growers club is a 3-acre farm that we manage almost year round. We grow mainly vegetables, but we have some perennials such as blueberries, raspberries, herbs, and hops. We have a crop rotation plan, a large compost pile, and lots of space for additional student projects. During the summer we employ two part time interns to help manage the farm while the students are away. Anyone is welcome to join us at the farm. You don’t have to sign up, just show up! Get out of class and breath fresh air.

Hot Vegetarian Supper is provided by members on a rotating basis. Bread is usually donated by Big River Bakery, and picked up by a member. Occasionally, we leave them vegetable gifts as an exchange.
Need a ride? A bike convoy usually meets in front of the fountain by ALS on the OSU campus. Ride shares are also available.

Get out of class and learn something!!
