The Department conducts basic and applied research in two broad areas:
Through campus-based, branch experiment station, and on-site basic and applied research, Crop and Soil Science faculty extend the frontiers of knowledge in improvement, management, production, and utilization of agricultural and natural resources used to produce food, feed, and other renewable resources and in soil and water conservation and improvement. This research includes developing management systems that optimize conversion of natural resources into usable products while maintaining the quality of the environment. Oregon Invests!
