Now Hiring Assistant Professor - Soil Scientist - Pedology

The department of Crop and Soil Sciences (CSS) invites applications for a full time (1.00 FTE), 9-month, tenure-track Soil Science Assistant Professor position with expertise in pedology, soil genesis and morphology, soil landscape analysis or related areas.  Candidates that bridge these areas with other soil science disciplines that are complementary to the existing strengths of the department are also encouraged to apply.  Example research areas include (but are not limited to) dynamic soil properties; soil-landscape relationships and soil geomorphology; soil degradation; hydropedology; soil landscape processes; sustainable soil management; wetland soils; soil survey, soil databases, soil information systems, and geospatial information; forest soils; climate and land-use change; rangeland soils; mineralogy; remote sensing of soils; soil conservation; soil erosion; subaqueous soils; cultural soil resources; pedotransfer functions; or soil modeling.
