Dr. Pete Berry Named Assistant Professor of Weed Science Crop and Soil Science, OSU
I am pleased to announce that Dr. Pete Berry has joined the Department of Crop and Soil Science as Assistant Professor – Weed Science effective September 1, 2022. Dr. Berry will be serving in a leadership role in our department’s weed science research and teaching program. Pete earned his bachelor’s degree in Plant Science from California Polytechnic University; and his Ph.D. in Weed Science from Oregon State University. Following completion of his doctorate in 2019, Pete was a Research and Development Field Scientist in Weed Control with Syngenta in Illinois. He has been engaged in research on site specific weed management and smart agricultural technology, and has had experience in teaching weed science and other courses. He has also served as a faculty research assistant at California Polytechnic University in Pomona prior to coming to OSU for his graduate education.
