The Accelerated Master's Platform allows current, highly motivated Crop and Soil Science undergraduate students to take graduate classes and apply those credits to their current undergraduate degree and transfer them to either the Crop Science or Soil Science master's program. Up to 22 graduate credits will count towards the bachelor's degree and transfer to the master's program allowing students to complete their master's program within as little as one year of completing their undergraduate degree.

- Enrolled in the Crop and Soil Science undergraduate degree program
- Approval of the Crop Science or Soil Science AMP advisor.
- Agreement of a Crop Science or Soil Science graduate faculty member to serve as major professor.
- Have completed at least 105 credits, equivalent to junior standing.
- A minimum 3.25 grade point average for completed OSU undergraduate coursework. Transfer GPA will not be considered.
Year 3 (Junior Year) of Undergraduate
- Meet with Crop Science or Soil Science AMP advisor.
- Identify a Crop Science or Soil Science graduate faculty member to serve as major professor.
- Work with your graduate faculty major professor to create a tentative program of study and develop your proposed MS thesis research plan.
- Meet with your undergraduate academic advisor to ensure the 22 credits will also fulfill your remaining undergraduate degree requirements.
- Apply to an OSU graduate program using the Accelerated Master's Platform application code provided by your AMP advisor by the second week of term prior to desired admission.
Year 4 (Senior Year) of Undergraduate
- Earn up to 22 graduate credits.
- Continue to work with your graduate faculty major professor to plan or conduct work on your thesis research plan.
Year 1 of Graduate Program
- Start your graduate education transferring up to 22 graduate credits earned as an undergraduate.
Submit your application materials through the online OSU Office of Graduate Education application system. The application fee will be waived
The application will need to include:

Statement of graduate research or project objectives (essay of no more than 500 words).

A tentative plan of study that identifies up to 22 credits that will apply as transfer credits towards the graduate degree; and additional planned courses to be completed after full admission to graduate degree. The plan must be signed by the graduate advisor for non-thesis master's programs or the major professor/advisor for thesis-based master's programs. Your program advisor will supply the form. Please include the projected term of completion of the Bachelor’s degree requirements. (Note: This does not replace the Program of Study.)
