Applied weed management.
Research conducted by the Integrated Pest Management program at the Central Oregon Agricultural Research and Extension Center is intended to support improved control and management of problematic weeds of high value irrigated specialty crops and grass seed, and of noxious and invasive weeds of non-cropland in the region. Specific research interests are driven by management questions of importance to stakeholders, but include herbicide use and optimization, weed biology and ecology, cropping system management, herbicide resistance, and other factors relevant to development of effective integrated weed management strategies for focal weeds.
