I have strong interest in understanding biology and ecology of insects in agro-ecosystem and develop pest management tools that are efficient and sustainable. Research interests are in spatio-temporal distribution, economic thresholds, sampling plans, phenology models, host-plant resistance, biological control, and insecticide-resistance management. I want to build my career as a research entomologist conducting research in agriculture and integrated pest management.

Biography

I am an entomologist with a strong background in integrated pest management of agricultural insect pests. Research interests are in understanding the ecology and behavior of insect pests to develop economical and eco-friendly pest management programs. The specific research focus is to develop and/or improve monitoring and decision making, sampling techniques, cultural, biological, and chemical control options for integrated management of existing and invasive agricultural pest
