We are pleased to announce that Dr. Margaret Krause has joined the Department of Crop and Soil Science as Assistant Professor – Wheat Breeding and Genetics effective November 1, 2023. Dr. Krause will be serving in a leadership role in our department’s Wheat Breeding and Genetics research and teaching program.
Margaret earned a bachelors degree in Applied Plant Science from the University of Minnesota; and her Ph.D. in Plant Breeding from Cornell University. Following completion of her doctorate in 2019, Margaret was a National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow in Biology with the Global Wheat Program at the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT), El Batán, México. Dr. Krause was most recently Assistant Professor and Small Grains Breeder in the Department of Plants, Soils and Climate at Utah State University.
